Springfield is located on Highway 37, which provides access to nearby Nebraska via Chief Standing Bear Memorial Bridge over the Missouri River.

Recreation / Community Activities

Terrace Park sits atop a high bluff overlooking Lewis and Clark Lake of the Missouri River. The city of Springfield has undertaken an extensive project at the park with the assistance of grants from the National Park Service and Randall Resource Conservation and Development. The park allows those following the Lewis and Clark Trail an opportunity to explore nature and view the Mighty Mo from a picturesque spot. Unique river scenery awaits for camping, boating, picnicking and fishing trips at a 45-acre state maintained recreation area. Facilities include 22 campsites most with electricity, showers, dump station, 2 camping cabins, playground, picnic shelter, fishing dock, and fish cleaning station. Privately owned cabins and RV parking also available nearby.

The challenging 9-hole public course sits atop the bluffs overlooking Lewis and Clark Lake. Enjoy a beverage on the clubhouse balcony and watch the boaters and jet skiers fly by below.
