Located between Deadwood and Lead, Blacktail Horseback Tours give riding enthusiasts both a trail ride and a lesson in Black Hills history. Guests ride through forested switchbacks and scenic overlooks while at the same time learn about the area’s gold mining history. In addition to a few surprises, guest will enjoy original mining stories about the people who lived in the Black Hills from 1876 until 1900. Guests are assigned a horse and given instructions.
